WEDNESDAY Season 2 Part 2 Trailer: Gwendoline Christie’s Principal Weems Returns, Lady Gaga Lurks

Wednesday has a new spirit guide in the latest look at her second season. It’s “her once-loathed principal, now returned from the afterlife,” as the show is bringing back Christie’s Weems. Viewers last saw the Nevermore Academy Principal foaming at the mouth after Christina Ricci’s Marilyn Thornhill fatally poisoned her. But this is the Addams Family, after all. Death is not an obstacle to having fun. And it sounds like Gwendoline Christie had a whole lot of it returning to the series in Wednesday season two. We know we sure are glad to see her in the Wednesday season two, part two trailer.

“I was so thrilled to come back and work again with this wonderful cast and the magnificent Jenna Ortega and the rest of our brilliant cast,” Christie told the streamer’s Tudum. “I felt like I was returning to a group of friends who are all at the top of their game. It is such a pleasure for me to be a part of this emotional world, this imaginative world, and play the character of Larissa Weems, who I truly adore and really thought a lot about bringing into being.”

How will Weems help Wednesday out of the coma she fell into in Part 1’s finale? What is the big secret that poses such a danger in this trailer? And why can’t anyone—or anything/any monster—just leave Wednesday alone? Most importantly, is  that Lady Gaga’s voice we hear whispering at the end of the Wednesday season two, part two trailer? (We think it might be Lady Gaga who says “Beware, there will be a price to pay.”) Fans don’t need a dead principal-turned-spirit guide to know when they’ll get those answers. As the trailer reminds us, Wednesday Season 2, Part 2 debuts on Netflix next month on September 3.
