One of the most famous Tennessee Vols fans in the nation was reportedly arrested on Sunday night.
Country music superstar Morgan Wallen, an East Tennessee native, was arrested in Nashville late Sunday night after throwing a chair from the sixth floor of Chiefs Bar. According to reports, Wallen is being charged with three felony counts due to the incident.
Chiefs Bar is owned by Eric Church, another country music superstar.
“At 10:53 pm Sunday evening Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct,” said his attorney Worrick Robinson to the The New York Post in a statement. “He is cooperating fully with authorities.”
From News Channel 5: According to an arrest report for the 30-year-old singer, some Metro Nashville police officers were standing in front of Chief's Bar on Broadway Sunday night when a chair fell from above them, hitting the ground just feet from where they were standing. Staff members of Chief's told those officers that Wallen was responsible for throwing the chair from the sixth story of the business, according to the arrest report. Officers were able to view video which showed Wallen "lunging and throwing an object over the roof," his arrest report said. Witnesses told officers Wallen laughed afterward.
Several of Wallen's popular songs include references to the Tennessee Vols, including "Tennessee Fan", "Had Me By Halftime", and "The Way I Talk".
Wallen, who was released around 3:30 AM on Monday morning, was previously arrested in Nashville in 2020 on intoxication and disorderly conduct charges after getting kicked out of Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk Bar.
