Golf fans continue to mourn the news that the Masters has been postponed amid the coronavirus pandemic, but one New Jersey family used their disappointment as motivation to re-create one of Augusta National’s iconic holes out of LEGOs.

Lou Stagner has shared video on social media documenting how he and his daughter constructed Golden Bell — the name of Augusta National’s 12th hole — out of 20,000 LEGOs.

Given the amount of time and effort required for such an undertaking, it’s hardly surprising that the finished product is indeed impressive.

The father-and-daughter duo began the project in December and all told, the replica of Golden Bell required about 60 hours of work. The finished product measures 30 inches wide by 50 inches long by 20 inches high.

Making the fruit of their labor even more rewarding is how Stagner and his daughter intend to sell the replica and donate the proceeds to charity.

“We saw a replica of Augusta clubhouse made from Lego and she said ‘let’s build a golf hole and sell it,'” Stagner said of nine-year-old daughter Abby, via Golf Digest. “The ‘business’ idea quickly turned into a ‘let’s sell this and donate all the money to charity idea.'”

There have been countless breathtaking sports-themed creations built entirely out of LEGOs, including a stop-motion one that celebrates Tiger Woods’ iconic and improbable chip-in on the par-3 16th at the 2005 Masters.

It goes without saying that the Stagner’s replica of Golden Bell is just as impressive of all the other sports-inspired LEGO replicas that preceded it.
