New York Yankees star infielder Gleyber Torres is one of a kind. The first Venezuelan to appear in a Yankees lineup, Torres has been making a name for himself in the Major Leagues since 2018.

Known for his hard play, fiery personality and skill on the field, Torres was the perfect candidate to collaborate with Kings Bred, a Latin-rooted and born streetwear brand founded by G.O.K.B. and Manuel Roa.

Torres was able to sit down with Inside the Pinstripes and discuss his new venture, the Yankees, and of course, Aaron Judge.

Here's the interview:

Kade Kistner: "Gleyber, you've decided to partner with Kings Bred, what excites you about this new collaboration and what drew you to the brand?"

Gleyber Torres: "I really like the feeling and the history of the hat. I like this collaboration because while the brand was born in Los Angeles, everything was inspired from Mexico and Venezuela. Latin roots really play a large part and I think it's great for the fans to have a style and inspiration. It's an honor for me and it's a great company."

Kistner: "In this new collaboration you have a hat that has your signature on the headwear itself. Is that something that really excites you in this new line?"

Torres: "Yes, for sure. These hats have great color, it's great quality and with this inspiration we wanted to do something different. These hats use a lot of black and dark brown because I always use dark colors on the field. The second hat uses navy blue and white so that Yankees fans have an option as well.

Both hats have different inspirations but it also gives people different options between two really great hats."

Kistner: "Getting into some baseball stuff here, what did it mean for you, your family and even your country to become the first Venezuelan to appear in a Yankees lineup?"

Torres: "It's amazing, it's an honor for me. It's huge for all of us. Everyday I try to do my best and play better everyday. I do that for the city, for the fans. Keep working hard!"

Kistner: "Aaron Judge, just how important is he to the team, the lineup and how did you deal with his absence earlier this season?"

Torres: "Judge is the guy for sure. When he is in the lineup, it's just that much better. When he is out, we just have to figure out a way to get everyone better. Stay on the same page. The most important thing is to win games. We never give up and we are just trying to do the right thing."

Kistner: "Finally, are there any other involvements or charitable organizations you would like to mention?"

Torres: "Yes, I have been involved with Special Olympics since 2020 with Willson Contreras. I am grateful to be a part of that and the organization. I am very proud of that."

All of Torres' collaboration with Kings Bred can be found here. Be sure to swing by and pick up a hat or two. The collection includes two new KB models that bear Torres' signature, a new wave color in beige and brown, special embroidery, and of course, a KB in the colors of the Yankees.

Inside the Pinstripes thanks Gleyber for his time and wishes him luck with the remainder of the season!
