It’s official. Jalen Green is officially on the payroll with the Houston Rockets. Officially.

According to Jonathan Feigen of The Houston Chronicle, the team signed Green to his rookie contract Thursday.

The team announced the signing in a press release today, which also officially announced that Green would be with the team at the Las Vegas Summer League, which kicks off Sunday.

Green signed for the rookie max, which allows him to make 120 percent of the base salary for the second overall pick. This means Green is set to make $9 million in his first season with the Rockets.

His contract is set for three years with a club option in Year 4. He’ll be eligible for an extension after his second season, which will be the year that the Rockets are off the John Wall contract and a maximum slot will be available for a free agent.

With Green signed, it should only be a matter of time before general manager Rafael Stone works on contracts for Alperen Sengun, Usman Garuba and Josh Christopher.
