Knicks Signing DaQuan Jeffries to Multiyear Contract
Lucas Peltier-USA TODAY Sports

The Knicks are signing shooting guard DaQuan Jeffries to a multiyear contract, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Jeffries’ second 10-day contract expired over the weekend, prompting the Knicks to make a decision on whether to give him a standard deal or let him enter free agency.

He has yet to appear in a game during his 20 days with New York.

Jeffries, 25, is 6-foot-5 and attended training camp with the Knicks, before being waived and signing with their G League affiliate in Westchester. He was averaging 14.6 points on 51 percent shooting through the first five games with the Westchester Knicks.

Originally undrafted out of Tulsa in 2019, Jeffries has at least a little NBA experience. That includes 31 appearances with the Kings from 2019-21. Last season, he played three games with the Grizzlies, one year after playing 13 with the Rockets.

He has also spent time with the Hawks in the 2021 preseason, as well as with Team USA in the 2022 FIBA World Cup.

In 47 NBA games overall, Jeffries is averaging 3.8 points and 1.9 rebounds, shooting 44 percent from the field.
