All indications suggest that the Sixers’ top priority on the trade market is Damian LillardKyle Neubeck of The Philly Voice writes. Trading for Lillard would solve many of Philadelphia’s issues, giving them a dynamic scoring threat and more balanced partner to Joel Embiid, who is fresh off of signing a four-year, super-max extension.

So what would a Lillard-for-Ben Simmons deal look like? Neubeck believes that it would take Simmons, Tyrese Maxey, and several first-rounders to trade for Lillard should the point guard request a trade.

It’s worth noting that no deal is likely to happen before the season with talk around the league indicating that Lillard is content with giving new coach Chauncey Billups and the Blazers a chance to see how things go heading into the season.

More From Philadelphia

  • Andre Drummond may see more time than expected this upcoming season. The team has 12 back-to-backs on its schedule and on eight occasions, it plays three games in four days. Doc Rivers previously indicated that the Sixers will be more “protective” of Embiid, it’s possible that Drummond will pick up much of the time that the MVP candidate misses due to the team managing his risk.
  • The Sixers were one of the teams evaluating Lance Stephenson, as we passed along earlier this month. However, we haven’t heard anything since and it would be somewhat surprising if the team brings on the shooting guard.
