Browns showing reported interest in DT Dre'Mont Jones
Dre'Mont Jones Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports

Dre’Mont Jones is expectedf to be one of the top free agents in the 2023 class and should have ample suitors upcoming. One potentially interested party could offer an Ohio homecoming to the star defensive tackle.

Jones, a Cleveland native, is squarely on the Browns’ radar, according to Mary Kay Cabot of 'The Plain Dealer.' She notes that the Browns were high on him following his college career at Ohio State, thanks not only to his hometown status but also his on-field production -- Jones has racked up 22 sacks across four season.

If the Browns were to land him, it would require them besting his former team, as Jones has reportedly been deemed a priority for Denver. The 26-year-old plans on testing the open market before he makes his final decision.

“It’s really exciting,” the former third-round pick said, via Cabot. “It’s an honor to have your hometown team be interested in you. So that alone, I appreciate it.”

Jones added that he has remained a lifelong Browns fan and was intrigued by the prospect of playing on a defensive front which already features All-Pro edge rusher Myles Garrett.
