General manager Brandon Beane and the Buffalo Bills continue to add quality to a roster that earned a surprise trip to the playoffs last season.

According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Buffalo has signed former Carolina Panthers All-Pro tackle Daryl Williams to a one-year contract.

Williams, 27, started 41 games in five seasons with the Panthers after they made him a fourth-round pick in 2015. He earned second team All-Pro honors in 2017.

Injuries derailed Williams’ 2018 campaign in Carolina. He returned to start 12 games last season, showing some major rust. That is likely why he got a one-year contract in free agency.

Williams should act as a swing tackle for Buffalo next season. There’s a chance he starts at right tackle with youngster Cody Ford moving inside. Williams could also move inside.

This is the latest example of Buffalo adding to its already stacked roster after the team picked up star receiver Stefon Diggs and multiple contributing veterans on defense earlier in the spring.
