Cam Newton released an in-depth video to say goodbye to Carolina and hello to New England.  Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

Cam Newton was released by the Carolina Panthers in March. On Sunday night, he agreed to terms with the New England Patriots.

On Monday, Newton released an insightful, awesome hype video saying goodbye to his old team and hello to the new.

Check it out.

It was pretty cool how transparent Newton was about being released. His willingness to acknowledge the frustration and pain of being let go while embracing the business side of things came through in a big way.

Also, the clips showing Newton’s rehab following foot surgery were a nice reminder of how far he’s come in a relatively short period of time. Newton is ready to roll, folks. Now it’s time to see what the former NFL MVP can do playing for The Hoodie in New England.
