Dolphins rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa now has access to the team's facilities after passing coronavirus protocol. Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

On Monday morning, Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and the rest of the team’s rookies reported to practice facilities for the first time ever.

Tagovailoa was recorded walking into the building, which has to be an awesome sight for Dolphins fans everywhere.

The Dolphins also shared a few other videos of players reporting to the team’s practice facility.

A welcome sight, indeed.

NFL players have to test negative for COVID-19 twice before they can enter team facilities. The two tests were performed in this manner:

  • First test: On the day they report.
  • Two days of quarantine.
  • Second test: On the fourth day.

This was the agreed-upon strategy after lengthy negotiations between the NFL and NFLPA. Now, Tagovailoa and the rest of Miami’s rookies will receive daily testing for the next two weeks at least to ensure they remain free of COVID-19.
