A spate of NFL players are officially beginning suspensions for various transgressions with the roster cut deadline passed and Week 1 on the clock.
Amani Bledsoe, a free agent defensive end who last played in the NFL in 2021, was suspended Thursday for the first 17 weeks of the 2023 season for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing drug policy.
He is a free agent, and this second violation will make his path back to a roster rather difficult.
According to Field Yates, the NFL has suspended free-agent DL Amani Bledsoe for 17 games in 2023. He’s currently not on a team and previously served a six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s PED policy. Bledsoe, 25, signed with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma in 2019.

Bledsoe previously lost a season of eligibility at the University of Oklahoma for an alleged PED violation. That may have contributed to him going undrafted in 2019.
