The Pittsburgh Steelers announced they have hired former Commanders pass game coordinator Jason Simmons as their pass game coordinator/DBs coach. Additionally, the Steelers have retianed Scott McCurley as inside LBs coach and hired Steve Scarnecchia as chief of staff.
Washington Commanders assistant coach Jason Simmons hoped to upgrade his role this offseason, with eyes on leaving Washington for a new opportunity in Steel City.
Per Mark Kaboly, the Steelers will interview Commanders defensive pass game coordinator Jason Simmons for their DC role under new HC Mike McCarthy. Kaboly adds Simmons coached with McCarthy in Green Bay from 2011 to 2018.
