Just one day before the 2024 NFL draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are making a roster move. The Bucs waived safety Richard LeCounte III, the team announced Wednesday.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Wednesday that they’ve waived defensive back Richard LeCounte III. LeCounte, 25, was a fifth-round pick by the Browns out of Georgia back in 2021.
LeCounte was riding a dirt bike when it struck a vehicle on Saturday. LeCounte spent time in intensive care and is likely to miss at least a few weeks because of a shoulder injury as well as cuts and bruises.
