Calgary Flames release 2023-24 regular season schedule
Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports

The NHL’s schedule for the 2023-24 season is out and sees the Calgary Flames open their season Oct. 11th at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Calgary will play host to the Winnipeg Jets that night before kicking off a five-game road trip to kick off their season. It will be the longest road trip of their season.

The Flames will play the Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks just three times this year, but will play the Edmonton Oilers, Vancouver Canucks, Seattle Kraken and Vegas Golden Knights four times. They also get a look at each Central Division team three times, and will have home-and-home games with each team from the Eastern Conference.

Other notable dates on the schedule see the Flames head up the highway to play the Edmonton Oilers in the Heritage Classic on Oct. 23rd at Commonwealth Stadium. Calgary will host the Philadelphia Flyers on New Year’s Eve.

While Calgary’s longest road trip of the year is right at the start of the season, they’ll get two six-game homestands this season. From November 27th through December 9th, they’ll host Vegas, Dallas, Vancouver, Minnesota, Carolina and New Jersey. Their second takes place between January 16th and 27th as they host Arizona, Toronto, Edmonton, St. Louis, Columbus and Chicago.

The four Battle of Alberta games take place on Oct. 23rd (Heritage Classic) and Feb. 24th in Edmonton while Calgary hosts the Oilers on Jan. 20th and April 6th.
