The Nashville Predators have a lot of work to get done in free agency this offseason. Just days after losing James Neal, who is one of the most consistent scorers in the NHL, Nashville finds itself desperate for offense. Several young players stepped up for the Preds in the postseason, but throughout the regular season they will need some veterans to come in and be consistent. Ryan Johansen is only 24 years old, Filip Forsberg is 22, and Viktor Arvidsson is 24. The center position could be of need in free agency if captain Mike Fisher decides to retire. If he does not, center will be a solid, deep position for the team. If he does want to retire, however, the Preds will need to pick up a center who is capable of being a second line player. Calle Jarnkrok is solid on the third line and does have second line potential. There have been reports that Nashville is interested Colorado Avalanche center Matt Duchene.
