The Pittsburgh Penguins announced Monday that the club has signed defenseman Daniel Laatsch to a two-year, entry-level contract that will begin in the 2025-26 season.
Daniel Laatsch played the hero, scoring just over a minute into overtime to lift the Badgers men's hockey team to a 5-4 victory over No. 18 Penn State Friday night in University Park, Pa.
The Badgers came from behind for their first win of the season. The Wisconsin Badgers avoided a second consecutive loss to the Lindenwood Lions, as a Daniel Laatsch goal with 18 seconds left in overtime gave the Badgers their first win of the season, 3-2.
Wisconsin completed the comeback to earn an overtime win in their preseason game. If the exhibition last Saturday at Omaha is any indication, we’re in for an exciting season.
Daniel Laatsch's dreams were typical for any kid from Altoona. He wanted to play for Wisconsin. Uh ... what? To be clear, Laatsch is a native of Altoona, Wisconsin, a suburb of Eau Claire, and not the largest city of nearby Blair County.
