The Notre Dame women got their second win over a ranked opponent in the last seven days as they defeated No. 2 UConn 81-74 on Wednesday.
The win for Notre Dame improved its record to 8-2 on the season. The loss for UConn was its first of the season.

Just a week after knocking off No. 10 Texas, the Irish picked up yet another top-10 victory.
Notre Dame was fueled by Hannah Hidalgo's near triple double. Hidalgo finished with 29 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.
Liatu King added a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Olivia Miles also added 16 points.

For UConn, Paige Bueckers continued to be the best player for the Huskies, as she finished the game with a team-high 25 points.
Sarah Strong added 14 points and seven rebounds. Kaitlyn Chen scored 11 points and KK Arnold added 10 points off of the bench.

UConn will return home to host Georgetown before a top 25 matchup against No. 17 Iowa State on Dec. 17.
Notre Dame gets an easier two-game stretch, as they will host both Eastern Michigan and Loyola MD.
