Caitlin Clark draws wild LeBron James comparison ahead of WNBA playoffs

With the WNBA playoffs just around the corner, the Indiana Fever secured their 28th win of the season with a big triumph over the league-leading Minnesota Lynx.

Caitlin Clark did most of the heavy lifting, dropping 27 points on 50 percent from the floor to go along with seven rebounds, nine assists and four steals.

The third-year point guard is the catalyst behind one of the best offenses in league history, with SG Kelsey Mitchell leading the way in scoring and rounding out a deadly tandem.

Even so, given her popularity, the Fever will be considered Clark's team until proven otherwise. In an interview with SLAM, Mitchell went so far as to compare her to LeBron James, gushing about how she attracts large crowds.

“I think CC, when she first got here and we had to go play the preseason game in Iowa, I was like, ‘Bro, this is like some LeBron (expletive),'” Mitchell said. “I couldn’t believe it. Hats off to The GOAT, LeBron James, I’m just saying to see the lime, the light, the people, and the stuff, I am in awe of CC every time because she handled it so well. Her as a professional too, she wants to be great.”
