Manchester United endured a dismal 2024/25 season, finishing 15th with just 42 points. The club has been on a downward spiral in recent years due to ownership problems and poor player recruitment. One player likely to depart Old Trafford this summer is Jadon Sancho. After an inconsistent loan spell at Chelsea, the winger is now attracting interest from Italian giants Juventus, according to Fabrizio Romano

The Latest on Jadon Sancho

Romano reveals in his latest update on Sancho’s future that Man United and the players’ camp have been contacted by Juventus this week. Turkish giants Fenerbache were said to be in the running, but they are now out of the race and were never in concrete talks.

The fresh contact from Juventus was to discuss the conditions of the deal with Romano, revealing that more clubs have reached out to the player’s camp.

Sancho at Chelsea

Sancho’s loan spell at Stamford Bridge was largely inconsistent, with a bright start fading away into brief moments of brilliance. He appeared 31 times for Enzo Maresca’s team, scoring three times and providing five assists. His spell in West London ended positively as he scored in the club’s 4-1 win over Real Betis to win the Europa Conference League.

Chelsea failed to agree on personal terms with the player for a permanent deal, which resulted in him moving back to his parent club, Manchester United. Due to his return, Chelsea paid the Red Devils a £5 million penalty to break the loan agreement, which contained an obligation to buy, that would have seen Chelsea pay a reported fee of £25 million. It has been reported that the player refused Chelsea’s request for him to take a significant pay cut.

Jadon Sancho continues to remain a player who has underperformed in recent years, and perhaps a permanent move abroad is what he needs to kickstart his career. Only time will tell.
