King’s Lynn officially sign former Manchester United midfielder

Manchester United have focused heavily on strengthening Michael Carrick’s squad this summer.

Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Karl Darlow have all arrived to bolster the first team.

Highly-rated youngster Tynan Thompson is also expected to be involved with the senior squad after completing his move to Old Trafford.

The club also confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Kit Margetson earlier this week as investment continues across every level.

While United have been busy bringing players in, supporters are still waiting for the club to complete a major first-team sale before the transfer window closes.

Several former United players have already found new clubs this summer after moving on from Old Trafford.

King’s Lynn Town are no strangers to recruiting players with Manchester United links either.

Last year, the National League North club signed Louis Chadwick, the son of former Untied midfielder Luke Chadwick.

Now, they have completed another move involving a former Red Devil.

Former Red Devil secures another move in English football

King’s Lynn Town have officially announced the signing of former Manchester United midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe after a successful trial.

The experienced midfielder becomes the club’s eleventh signing of the summer.

Tunnicliffe came through United’s academy and lifted the FA Youth Cup in 2011 alongside Jesse Lingard, Paul Pogba and Ravel Morrison.

During his career, the 33-year-old has represented Fulham, Blackburn Rovers, Wigan Athletic, Millwall, Luton Town, Portsmouth and Adelaide United.

He also accumulated more than 250 championship appearances.

King’s Lynn confirmed the deal after watching Tunnicliffe impress throughout pre-season.

Manager Paul Caddis described the signing as a “no-brainer” and praised both his quality and experience.

Tunnicliffe added: “Really happy to be joining the club. Excited to be joining a great group of lads and can’t wait for the season to start!”
