Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca has revealed that he is ‘pleased’ to be linked with AC Milan and Juventus, but focused on his immediate future.

The 21-year-old is on loan at Serie B side Ascoli from Sassuolo and has scored 12 goals and added one assists in 29 appearances across all competitions this season. Milan have been repeatedly linked with a move as they look to reinforce their attacking department with young talent.

Calciomercato.com recently reported that Scamacca’s future will be in Serie A but possibly not with Roberto De Zerbi’s Sassuolo team, because Milan, Benfica, Inter and above all Juventus are keen.

However, the outlet claimed that Juve are leading the race as incoming Milan boss Ralf Rangnick has other priorities, namely a first-rate striker, an attacker who can slot in immediately.

Scamacca spoke to il Corriere dello Sport about links with Milan and Juventus in particular, and his response was transcribed by MilanNews.

“The voices that concern me are normal to please, because it means that they appreciate what I am doing,” he said.

“However, I am very focused on Ascoli and the goal we must achieve.”
