Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Indiana Fever forward-center Aliyah Boston was unanimously named the 2023 WNBA Rookie of the Year on Monday.

The No. 1 overall draft pick averaged 14.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks while starting all 40 games.

Boston shot 57.8 percent from the field and became the first Fever player to win the award since Tamika Catchings in 2002.

An All-Star Game starter, Boston finished the season as the first rookie in league history to register at least 550 points and 325 rebounds.

Boston, 21, also anchored the All-Rookie Team announced Monday, joined by Seattle Storm wing Jordan Horston, Washington Mystics guard Li Meng and Minnesota Lynx forwards Dorka Juhasz and Diamond Miller.
