I'm not really sure why the Wilpon's decided to keep Omar Minaya, is it really his contract extension which equates to little more then what Alex Cora would make in a season or do they want a figure head who could easily become a sacrificial lamb if things go bad.It makes sense from Omar prospective to return, he has nothing to lose since his reputation is at an all time...

Mets 21-year-old OF Fernando Martinez had season-ending surgery on his right knee in late September.
