PLAYERS: Eddie House
TEAMS: Boston Celtics

Every so often, we find some great non-basketball reasons to love our guys.  This is one of those days.  Eddie House sat down for an interview about a new show with his son... which is part of a collaboration between the NBA and the Cartoon Network.  In it, you see that beyond Eddie being a great shooter... he really seems like a great dad.How do you make sure they stay kids being kids? We try to raise them the way I was raised, try to raise them right. That's it — try to instill all the positive things that you can. Everything else will take care of itself. How does being so family-centered affect you as a player? It gives you motivation. When you look and see your kids in the stands or when you leave and they say, "Have a good game!," it's extra motivation to go out and perform to show the best of your capabilities. You like having your kids at your games? Yeah — just looking up at them and seeing them watching me, seeing...

Via Yahoo!:Celtics guard Ray Allen has expressed a desire for a contract extension, league executives say, but that isn’t happening in Boston. … Stephon Marbury is telling friends he believes that the Celtics want to re-sign him. …I'm really gonna miss Ray. My Father's Day Wish List

Since it's Father's Day, I'm feeling a bit entitled. So after cracking a Labatts with my eggs and giving my kid a chocolate bar for breakfast, I've decided to write up my "dream" Celtics roster for the upcoming season. This is a realistic wish list. In other words, if Danny builds this team for next season, I will be very happy. Here goes: Rajon Rondo...

The Rumor Mill and Random Thoughts 6/20

It's been quiet around the Celtics nation. No new rumors since Danny came out and said that it is possible but improbable that they move up in the draft. And also since a team source said that Rondo would not be traded. But then again, I take everything that Danny says with a grain of salt. I recall a time right after Danny took over as GM when he said that he had no intention...

Amar’e is staying in Phoenix, and Paul Pierce is talking s***

At least for now, Amar’e Stoudemire isn’t going anywhere. Yesterday morning we mentioned a rumored trade proposal that would send Amar’e to Minnesota for Al Jefferson and the #6 pick in next week’s Draft, and while follow-up reports now say that a discussion did take place between the Suns and Wolves, apparently Minnesota said no. San Antonio Spurs draft pick

The San Antonio Spurs don't own a first round pick.  But they do have 3 second round picks at 37, 51, and 53.  Let's take a look at how each have done in the past 14 years to determine what the chances are that the Spurs will get someone who can help them. 37th pick--As of right now, there have been three players that have been productive for their teams with the best being Eddie...

Celtics draft history - The Bad

With the draft coming up in a little less than a week, I thought I'd look back at the Celtics draft air-balls since 1990. The main criteria for this list is: "We drafted that guy instead of THAT guy?! Damn." Obviously, if the draftee turned out to be garbage, but there was nothing but garbage drafted after him, then I really have no argument. I'll kick it all...
