According to the Globe, Big Baby missed practice for a hand injury. Forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis (hand injury) missed practice Monday morning and his status has not been determined for the Celtics' regular-season opening visit to Cleveland Tuesday. "We sent him for X rays," coach Doc Rivers said of Davis. "He was complaining about it before (practice)."Big Baby was just getting back to speed after back spasms sidelined him for the final preseason game. Now, he has injured his hand and may be out for the opener, and maybe longer depending on what the x-ray shows. I'm not sure, but I think Tony Allenitis is catchy. Also mentioned in the article is the fact that Tony, Scal, and Bill Walker will all be out for the opener. So, I guess that answers the question as to who will be inactive. Ray Allen is recovering nicely from his Perk elbow that resulted in 5 stitches above his eye. He practiced at full speed on Saturday and is expected...

  • Seriously?... Big Baby got in a fight in Louisiana? Are you kidding me?

The man is 6'8" and (roughly) 400 pounds of big fella. My suggestion the next time some Saints fan calls him out for playing basketball (I'm just assuming), Big Baby should pummel the man with repeated open hand slaps.

I say this for 2 reasons... 1. He clearly doesn't know how much money he's worth or doesn't believe it and 2. Open hand slaps are a demeaning way to be beaten up.

    Just a thought.

Lester Hudson is a better 3 point shooter than Ray Allen

Ball Don't Lie has compiled a list of preseason statistical oddities... and among them...Eddie House made nearly five times as many three-pointers as Ray Allen. Hell, something named a "Lester Hudson" made more three-pointers than Allen, who missed 15 of 19 looks from downtown during the preseason.A great non-Celtics one:  Larry Hughes missed all 20 shots he...

Ray Has Finally Stopped Bleeding

All signs point to Ray Allen playing Tuesday night, despite the 7-stitches needed to close a cut over his left eye, courtesy of a Kendrick Perkins elbow. Ray was back at practice Sunday and according to the Herald, he didn't have a concussion exam.“Last night was one of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in a long time,” Allen said. “The swelling has actually gone...

Maybe guys should start upfaking LeBron or something

LeBron's chase-down blocks on Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen were spectacular.  Here's the thing... it's kinda becoming his "thing."  Maybe guys should stop and up-fake... or try to glide under the hoop and go for the reverse lay up.  Cuz 'Bron is comin... ain't no doubt about that.  Time for plan B.Hat Tip: BDL via BallerBlogger

Ray Allen says he is in best shape of career

Dan Duggan of the Boston Herald reports: When Ray Allen said he entered training camp in the best shape of his career, it was an attention-grabber. After all, it’s tough to improve your condition when you have 4.5 percent body fat. “I’m never out of shape, so I don’t really have to get back in shape,” Allen said. [...]

Comments from the Other Side - Cavs 10/27

I just have this feeling we are gonna drop this one. PROVE ME WRONG CAVS!!!!!!! Let's Go Cav's!!!! I have been waiting for this game since we went down in Orlando. I know the Cav's are the real deal this season. The Celtics will be going home sad that they are starting the season 0-1. I hate to lose to Rasheed Wallace. I really hate to lose to Boston. Loss...

Celtics take opener, 95-89

The Celtics came out of the gates slowly, but it isn't how you start. It's how you finish. And the Celtics finished strong, knocking off the Cavs 95-89. The good thing about this game, outside of the win, is that there's one less game in which I have to watch LeBron James, Side Show Bob, and Humpty Dumpty play. Hooray for me. KG came through unscathed, though he did...
