While we wait on Rasheed Wallace's decision, we will have Summer League to take our mind off of the waiting. The Celtics will be participating in the Orlando Summer League that goes from July 6-10 or Monday through Friday of next week. The Celtics will play one game per day as follows: July 6, 7pm vs. JazzJuly 7, 3pm vs. MagicJuly 8, 5pm vs. ThunderJuly 9, 7pm vs. PacersJuly 10, 1pm vs. Nets/76ersI have been checking for coverage of the games but haven't had much luck. NBA.com and NBA TV will be covering the Vegas Summer League but not Orlando. I had written to the Magic about whether they would be allowing spectators and I received this reply:The Summer League is closed to the public but we offer a live broadcastfor the games on www.orlandomagic.com.But on their website, they have this posted on their schedule:Due to space limitations, the event is not open to the public and will be open only to the media and professional team/league personnel. Games will begin at 3 p....

Rasheed Wallace to the Celtics would be great, after all we need more players. The Celtics need reinforcements to be able to contend for a championship this year. After losing to the Orlando Magic, the Lakers adding Ron Artest, The Cavs adding Shaquille O'Neal.
Rasheed Wallace on way to Boston
Well, he had a great run in Detroit, but it looks like Rasheed Wallace is leaving. Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated has the scoop:
Free agent forward Rasheed Wallace has agreed to sign with the Boston Celtics, Wallace’s agent, Bill Strickland, told SI.com on Sunday. Wallace, who chose the Celtics over San Antonio and Orlando, [...]
Now Is Rasheed's Moment
We've had our differences, but he's the man. Still. Kind of.Rasheed Wallace is going to join the Celtics on Wednesday. It will be a sad day for me, as I love Roscoe (despite my Pistons-related frustrations) and hate the Celtics. I especially hate that with Sheed and KG, Boston will now employ two of my favorite players from these past 15 years or so. What I don't hate is that Boston...
Spurs Reach Agreement With PF Marcus Haislip
Well he is not Rasheed Wallace and I know many people can see just that. I will be the first to say that I haven’t heard much from this guy and about this guy so I had to do some digging to find out what we are getting here in San Antonio with Marcus Haislip.
For [...]
Celtics Get Their Man In Sheed
According to Marc Spears of the Boston Globe, free agent Rasheed Wallace has decided to take the mid-level exception from the Boston Celtics. It’s expected that Sheed will receive a two-year deal worth $5.6 to $5.8 million.

Boston Celtics Ramp Up Their "Get Older" Strategy
Calm and rational Rasheed Wallace has agreed to play for the Celtics for two years. Next on the shopping list: Grant Hill. (Seriously.) Because the problem with their 2009 team was obviously not enough injury/character questions. [Boston Herald]
Big Baby the Big Consolation Prize?
Whichever team loses out on Rasheed Wallace will set its sights on Glen Davis. At least that's the theory one league source floated to the Herald's Mark Murphy: A league source said the Celtics’ pursuit of Wallace actually may affect...
Source: Rasheed’s Coming to Boston
by Ryne Nelson
There’s a helluva lot Rasheed Wallace and Kevin Garnett have in common. They went No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, in the ‘95 NBA Draft. Their intensity can drive them out of this planet when they’re on the court. They equally dangerous with their back to the basket as they are squaring from 17 feet.
They already have one championship ring. And they...
Free Agents Left
With Rasheed Wallace to the Celtics, Trevor Ariza signing with the Rockets, and Ron Artest with the Lakers, what free agents are left? The Cavaliers are supposedly interested in Anthony Parker and Shawn Marion. If Bryan Colangelo were to give up Shawn Marion, I know Raptors fans would be pissed. All Raptors fans are having bad feelings with Chris Bosh. He hasn't said anything in...
Celtics Rumor: Swap Grant Hill for Glen Davis
Big Baby and Rasheed Wallace were polar opposites during the playoffs. Davis surprised a lot of people by filling in for an injured Kevin Garnett on the offensive end, accounting for about 16 points and 6 boards per game. On the other hand, ‘Sheed turned in one of the least inspired performances in recent memory, [...]
Summer jobs for bench riders
The Celtics’ team for the Orlando Summer League, which begins play against the Utah Jazz tomorrow, will provide a test to measure the progress of J.R. Giddens, Gabe Pruitt, and Bill Walker. None of the three figured into the Celtics’ plans last season, and they faded beyond obscurity in the playoffs as coach Doc Rivers went with an eight-man rotation.
