Found October 14, 2013 on The Nosebleeds:
After Yasiel Puig showcased an epic (but premature) bat flip celebration in Game 3 of the NLCS against him on Monday, Adam Wainwright tried one of his own while at the plate in the top of the sixth inning. It was a little bit too aggressive, however, as the bat was flung all the way to the photographers pit just beside the Dodgers dugout. I know Wainwright isn’t paid to perform at the dish, but this is unacceptable. Cardinals’ Adam Wainwright Accidentally Tosses Bat Into Cameraman Section of Dodgers Dugout (GIF)

Adam Wainwright didn’t bring his “A” game to the mound or the batter’s box on Monday night. During his at-bat in the sixth inning of Game 3 of the NLCS against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Cardinals’ starting pitcher accidentally tossed his bat into the cameramen section after fouling off a pitch.  Wainwright would eventually ground out to third for the first out of the...

Adam Wainwright: Adrian Gonzalez heckled me at third base

Adam Wainwright cleared up a misunderstanding regarding his issues with Adrian Gonzalez’s “Mickey Mouse” behavior during Game 3 on Monday night, explaining that he wasn’t annoyed with a celebration, but with Gonzalez heckling him. LBS and many other outlets incorrectly believed Wainwright was annoyed with the way Gonzalez celebrated his RBI double to put the […]

Cardinals can't hit for Wainwright in Game 3 loss

LOS ANGELES -- The St. Louis Cardinals' offensive slump is turning into another postseason drought, and not even Adam Wainwright could keep the Los Angeles Dodgers from getting back into the NL championship series. Wainwright yielded six hits and two runs in seven innings, but the Cardinals couldn't score a run for their ace in their third straight awful offensive game,...

Yasiel Puig With the Premature Home Run Celebration

Los Angeles Dodgers star outfielder Yasiel Puig is exciting to watch. The young man has a cannon of an arm and he is dangerous every time he steps up to the plate. Need a tide turning kind of play? This is the guy that will provide it more often than not for the Dodgers. The only knock on him is his immaturity; that's the reason the club sent him to the minors to start the...

Carlos Beltran on Yasiel Puig: He still thinks he’s playing in Cuba

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig stole the show in his team’s Game 3 NLCS win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday night. He deserved the spotlight after delivering an RBI triple to give LA a 2-0 lead in the 4th inning, but it was his reaction to the hit that set the internet […]

Trumbsy Encourages Wins From Alaska

Ed Note: Trumbsy may or may not be planning vacations around Adam Wainwright starts in the postseason. I think things are getting pretty serious. She checks in below... Yasiel Puig’s hilarious fielding gaff nearly cost the Dodgers Game 5

Yasiel Puig appeared to lose a ninth inning fly ball in the sun during Game 5 in Los Angeles on Wednesday, leading to a hilarious misplay that wound up nearly costing the Dodgers the game. It was 6-2 at the time of Puig’s gaff, but the extra out allowed the Cardinals to trim the score to 6-4 before stranding the tying runs on base in the final inning. Talk about a close call for...

Yasiel Puig Gives Bat Flip for the Ages, Celebrates Triple Like Home Run During Game 3 (GIFs)

Down two games to the Cardinals, Los Angeles didn’t have much to be cocky about in Game 3 of the NLCS, but don’t tell that to Yasiel Puig. The Dodgers star outfielder struggled mightily in the first two games of the series, going 0-for-10 with six strikeouts against St. Louis. The rest of the Dodgers weren’t doing much better, though, hitting just .184 in the series and only...

When was time to ride, the Dodgers hopped on the back of the Wild Horse

[Box Score] [Los Angeles Times - Dodgers Now] We told you it would be so; we told you that the Dodgers would beat Adam Wainwright in the Cardinals in game three of the NLCS. And that’s exactly what happened. The Dodgers snapped an ugly scoreless streak by gathering a single by Adrian Gonzalez, and a huge triple from Yasiel Puig with two outs. Puig pimped it as if the ball was out...

Offense sparse for Cardinals and Dodgers in NLCS

LOS ANGELES (AP) In a matchup sparse on offense, the Los Angeles Dodgers managed just enough to pull themselves back into the NL Championship Series. They snapped a stretch of 22 innings without a run scored in the fourth inning Monday night, and went on to beat Adam Wainwright and the St. Louis Cardinals 3-0 in Game 3. Runs have come at a trickle through the first three games...

Do Donnie Baseball’s Dodgers Have a Fighting Chance?

The first two games of the National League Championship Series didn’t go according to plan if you’re a Los Angeles Dodgers fan.
