After suffering a stunning upset loss at home to Texas A&M last weekend, Alabama has likely erased its national championship hopes for the 2012 season. As you may know, the people of Alabama take their football kind of seriously. Fans have not reacted well to the loss to the Aggies. Neither has the governor of Alabama. Earlier this week, Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley was asked if he would have run the ball when it was on the 2-yard during what turned out to be the final drive against Texas A&M. “I would actually have run the ball for four straight times,” he said as the room erupted with laughter, via AL.com. You can hear the audio of the comment by clicking here. As the kid who spazzed out while playing “Call of Duty” during the loss would tell you, there are a lot of people who believe Nick Saban should have simply run the ball four times when it was 1st-and-goal with plenty of time left on the clock. Alabama instead called for pass plays on 3rd and 4th down — the first of w...

Alabama Governor Robert Bentley upset with Saban’s play-calling

The Alabama Crimson Tide lost their first game since November 5th of 2011 last weekend to the Texas A&M Aggies and their Heisman candidate quarterback Johnny Manziel. Now people are questioning Nick Saban and his play-calling. Game Preview: Alabama vs. Western Carolina

After a tough two-week stretch, the fourth-ranked Crimson Tide must refocus, regroup and regain its identity Saturday against an FCS opponent. As head coach Nick Saban said this week, "I don’t think that we need to be worried about who we’re playing as much as we need to worry about how we’re playing."

Alabama Governor takes issue with Crimson Tide play-calling at the end of the game

It has been well documented at this point that the Crimson Tide fan base was keen on Bama running the ball on fourth and goal instead of having A.J. McCarron throw the ball.  Obviously the ball was picked off, and their shot at beating Texas A&M and staying undefeated went out the window. It wasn’t just your run of the mill Alabama fan that wanted them to run the ball though...

McCarron Perfect For Tide

Another day at the office for Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron and the Crimson Tide football team as they subdued the outmanned Catamounts of Western Carolina 49-0 at Bryant-Denny Stadium on a beautiful, bright sunny day in Tuscaloosa. Bama Fan Freaks Out Over Texas A&M Loss While Playing Call Of Duty

A few days after Texas A&M 29-24 upset victory over #1 ranked Alabama, a video of an Alabama fan playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 while watching his Tide loss started to go viral on the internet.  The video is totally NSFW but is hilarious with an epic meltdown at the end.  The problem with the first video was that it was all Call of Duty gamer footage so it was hard...

Tide Has Easy Time In 49-0 Romp

Alabama’s offense scored the first six times it got the football and the defense also contributed a touchdown; and even with the game shortened by running the clock after incomplete passes in the second half and Bama playing back-ups more than half the game, the Crimson Tide had an easy time of it Saturday.

No. 4 Bama gets bounce-back game against FCS WCU

Western Carolina coach Mark Speir has dealt with some of the challenges Alabama faced in recent years as the team everyone badly wants to beat. It makes Saturdays that much harder, if decidedly less daunting than taking a 1-9 Football Championship Subdivision team to face the fourth-ranked Crimson Tide (9-1), which is coming off its first loss of the season. Speir was an assistant...
