Training camp is almost here, and a lot of Blues players are back practicing as well as newly acquired Magnus Paajarvi. However there has been a concern this off season about the likes of Alex Pietrangelo and what the situation is with his contract. Blues GM Doug Armstrong addressed the media about the situation today. Armstrong stated that the talks are ongoing with contract negotiations and said that “Pietrangelo will be a Blue”, whether that’s now, next week, or next year is the only question concerning Pietrangelo. Pietrangelo, 23, is a restricted free agent a fourth overall pick in the 2008 NHL Draft had scoring 24 points last season. After losing in six games to the Los Angeles Kings in the Western Conference Quarterfinals last season, St. Louis comes into this season with high expectations again.
