The Answer has given his final answer, “I’m formally announcing my retirement from basketball.” Allen Iverson, who played 14 seasons in the NBA, hanged up his popular headband, Iverson-3 sneakers and Philadelphia 76ers jersey on Wednesday in the Well Fargo Center, home of the Sixers. His emotional speech consisted of thanking Michael Jordan for giving him belief to achieve the NBA dream, his high school basketball coach, longtime 76ers coach Larry Brown, teammates, the fans and lastly, his kids. Congratulations, Allen Iverson to a well-spent, successful NBA career. Check out Iverson’s pure words in the video below.
