A huge blow to one of the most interesting fights of the year as Anthony Pettis had what he is calling a “small tear in my meniscus” that will not allow him to compete at UFC 163.  In comes the Korean Zombie to face featherweight champ Jose Aldo on August 3rd in Brazil.  This is a tough break for Pettis as he has had some very bad luck missing out on title fights since being in the UFC.  Zombie has been out for over a year with a shoulder injury and now will be getting a title shot that he as wanted for some time now.  Still a good fight but not nearly as intriguing at Aldo vs Pettis. Ariel Helwani Interviews TJ Grant, Asks About Possibility Of Lossing Title Shot To Pettis

Let’s be real here Anthony Pettis vs Ben Henderson is a much bigger fight than Henderson vs Grant.  Especially since the fight takes place in Showtime’s hometown of Milwaukee.  But is it fair for the UFC to take away the title shot when a fighter is promised one? If that decision makes more business sense does the UFC even care?  Let’s not forget that Showtime was offered...
