In addition to writing about the Ravens, I’m a fan of Maryland’s local teams. So in my travels yesterday, I was listening to the University of Maryland take on the North Carolina Tar Heels in basketball. One of the the players that plays for the Tar Heels name is James Michael McAdoo. That got me thinking, the Ravens have a McAdoo that also went to North Carolina. That player is Michael McAdoo. McAdoo is a defensive end/outside linebacker that was passed over in the supplemental draft, but signed as an undrafted free agent. Against very high odds, McAdoo made the 53-man roster before being placed on injured reserve after Week 1. To me, McAdoo is a high-upside type of player. If the Ravens didn’t think he could contribute, they wouldn’t have placed him on injured reserve. He could be worked in during offseason minicamps and training camp before making the team.
