Vic Lombardi of CBS4 reports that the Denver Broncos are expected to approach DE Elvis Dumervil regarding a pay cut that would reduce his $12 million salary for the 2013 season. Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports adds that there’s a chance that this “situation could end up with his release.“ Dumervil, 29, has yet to meet with the Broncos regarding this matter. He has base salaries of   $10 million and $8.19 million coming his way in 2014 and 2015, which comes out to around $31 million over the next three seasons. Lombardi adds that the Broncos will likely ask him to agree to “similar money over 4-5 years.“ Releasing him would require the Broncos to pay him $4.869 million. Dumervil can obviously be an effective pass rusher for them, but he’s nowhere near the complete player that Von Miller is. He has a considerable amount of money coming his way, but was rated as a below average defensive end last season by Pro Football Focus. We should know more regarding the situation in the days leading up to free agency.   The post Broncos Expected To Approach Elvis Dumervil About Restructuring His Contract appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.
