Dear Los Angeles Lakers fans
We're sorry to inform you ... it doesn't seem very likely Carmelo Anthony will be dishing to Kobe Bryant any time soon despite reports to the contrary.
Anthony was leaving Craig's in Hollywood this week when we asked straight up if he could see himself in purple and gold after his contract with the Knicks runs out.
CA's response? "Ummmmm I doubt it."

Carmelo Anthony says he doubts you’ll ever see him in a “purple and gold outfit,” when lightheartedly asked by TMZ. Meant to reference the recent reports that the Lakers are targeting Melo and LeBron in 2014, Anthony stayed on topic of clothing rather than alluding to the rumors saying “I’ll stick to the original outfit…red, white and black, Jordan.”
The Knicks star...

At Thursday's USA Basketball Showcase in Las Vegas, the biggest dunk highlight didn't come from a group of NFL players that included Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, and Paul George. Instead, it came from Nathaniel Mills — a member of United States Air Force.
At one of the scrimmage's TV breaks, the Douglaston, Ga. native came onto the court in full uniform — fatigues...
Breathe easy Knicks fans. Carmelo Anthony isn't going anywhere. At least for now. However, if you are a Lakers fan or a Heat fan this bit of news may bum you out.
Anthony is set to be a free agent after next season, if he does not exercise his player option for the 2014-15 season, and if Lakers nation had any hopes of him moving back to the Western Conference or if LeBron...
It’s well known that the Lakers are targeting the summer of 2014 and its vaunted free agent class to jump back into serious title contention. However, you can probably take one of the team’s likely top targets off of the board.
TMZ’s cameras caught up with Carmelo Anthony leaving a Hollywood spot earlier this week, and flatly asked the Knicks forward if he sees himself wearing...

Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and Blake Griffin are flying around the world promoting Team Jordan, and here’s a video of them on one of their stops. Now, I’d like to consider myself an educated man. Ok, not VERY educated. But not a wholesale idiot. Anyway, I’ve never heard of Guangzhou. Not even a little bit. I thought it was Guam at first, and the guy typing it had an epileptic...
USA Basketball's intrasquad scrimmage Thursday night in Las Vegas featured some of the best young talent in the NBA, but the highlight of the event came with all of those players on the bench.
During a timeout, U.S. Airman Nathaniel Mills -- wearing full fatigues and combat boots -- came onto the court and pulled out a windmill dunk that would have earned him some high scores...
This is a pretty great video that comes from last night’s USA Showcase game. It shows a U.S. Air Force soldier wearing his fatigues and boots throwing down a windmill jam in between action during the game. That certainly takes some supreme athletic ability.
Here’s another angle that shows the soldier getting some encouragement, then some daps from Carmelo Anthony.
