I'll admit when I wrote about it yesterday, I did not think the "fight" between Rajon Rondo and Kris Humphries was all that bad.  It was a shoving match among heated players.  I don't think Rondo should have shoved Humphries for what seemed to me to be a soft foul, but that's neither here nor there.  However, after watching the video over and over and listening to far too much sports radio, I understand why there had to be swift discipline.  And there was.According to Gary Dzen of the Boston Globe, Rondo has been suspended two games by the league.  With this suspension, Rondo is starting to get a reputation.  Dzen points out this is Rondo's third suspension in the calendar year.  He was suspended twice toward the end of last season - including in the playoffs - and he has now been suspended again. This suspension had to happen because of the consequences that could come from altercations spilling into the crowd.  Often, the court side seats become part of the game to me.  Balls go flying into the stands, players go chasing after them.  The fans are just obstacles to avoid or run over.  But that's not fair.  These are people with families who are attending games as a means of entertainment.  To top things off, they are paying a lot of money for their seats.  Parents should not have to fear for the safety of their children or themselves.Thoughts on the suspension aside, the Celtics will have to play their next two games without Rondo.  He has become something of a team leader, and he has definitely become an irreplaceable asset.  His ability to find the open man combined with his ability to score is part of the Celtics' formula for success. Rondo is averaging 12.9 points per game this season to go along with 12.9 assists per game.  The suspension will be a blow to a Celtics team thats already struggling.  Boston is 8-7 on the season.
