I think it’s safe to say that had Davidson not won the SoCon tournament, they wouldn’t be playing in the Big Dance. The Wildcats have a solid team, but outside of win against Kansas on a neutral floor, their resume isn’t all that impressive. Vanderbilt and College of Charleston are the only common opponents between the two schools. The Wildcats split a pair of regular season meetings with Charleston and lost at Vanderbilt.  Davidson has some impressive offensive numbers, including a 78.4 points per game, which ranks 14th in the country. However, they also give up nearly 70 points per game.
