Larry Brown Sports:
Chicago Bulls fans miss Derrick Rose. The team has handled itself well during his absence, but you have to wonder how long they are capable of holding it together with a former NBA MVP watching from the sidelines. On Sunday before the Bulls were blown out by the Oklahoma City Thunder, Rose was shown doing something that should put a smile on the face of Bulls fans.
Of course, Rose wasn’t exactly exploding to the basket and landed on his “good” knee. But a couple of weeks ago the point guard was talking about how he still lacks burst and is unable to dunk. Unless we were seeing things, he has made some progress.
It’s still not out of the question that Rose could miss the entire season, but it’s certainly encouraging to see that his rehab now includes warming up with basketball activity and not being afraid to go up for a dunk. Is he close to returning? That’s doubtful, but any dunk is a a sign of confidence at the very least.

Derrick Rose recently told media that he knew if he could dunk off stride, he’d be out playing; well, Sunday evening before the Chicago Bulls and Oklahoma City Thunder squared, Derrick Rose did just that as he threw down a two-handed dunk. The post Derrick Rose Dunks in Pre-Game Warmup (Video) appeared first on The NBA Mistress.
The Chicago Bulls have been an NBA franchise since the 1966-67 season. Until the mid 80’s the Bulls had been little more than a mediocre franchise at best. That all changed with the drafting of a 6’6 Guard from the University of North Carolina in 1984. The Bulls would win six NBA titles in the 90’s and with Derrick Rose leading the way, again appear to be on the verge...
Think D-Rose is ready to get back in the fold? Rose was shown throwing down a two handed dunk during Sunday’s pregame of the Chicago Bulls-Oklahoma City Thunder game.
Rose is attempting to return from an ACL tear, and the Bulls could use his talent as they currently sit in 5th in the Eastern Conference. Will make the East a whole lot more interesting once the 2011 NBA MVP is back...
The return of Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose appears to be inching closer and closer as the NBA weeks go by. After tearing his ACL in last year’s playoffs, Rose has made great strides in his recovery as he is now fully participating in 5-on-5 drills.
But as with any major injury, part of the recovery is mental. Rose has to trust the knee before he returns to the court...
So, he can dunk. Derrick Rose throws down a two-handed jam, off stride, albeit on his right leg, before the Bulls took on the Thunder on Sunday night. Last week, Rose told reporters: “I know that if I can dunk off stride, I know I’ll be out there playing.”
Good news Bulls fans. Derrick Rose is dunking again. Of course, he’s not windmilling or doing dunk contest worthy dunks, but it’s a start.
But keep in mind Bulls fans, Rose is still prepared to sit out the entire season if he doesn’t feel completely right.

Derrick Rose dunked last night in a warmup before the Chicago Bulls took on the Oklahoma City Thunder. ESPN showed a nine-second clip of Rose striding to the basket, elevating and throwing down a slam.
The video is unremarkable. Of course Rose can dunk. And while Chicago's favorite son looked slow, this is only a part of a 90-minute workout, which he's been doing as he...
Tweet Derrick Rose has spent the entire season to date rehabbing his surgically-repaired ACL, giving Chicago Bulls fans hope that he may return at some point season. Rose recently began participating in 5-on-5 practices and was even caught on camera dunking pre-game Sunday: Not bad for a player less than a year removed from major [...]
Derrick Rose is on the comeback trail, and he can’t return fast enough as far as the Chicago Bulls are concerned.
Despite competing as a top team in the Eastern Conference through the early part of the season, Tom Thibodeau‘s squad has fallen on hard times as of late and it’s obvious to see how much the team misses its All-Star point guard.
While Rose has stated that he won’t...
Bulls fans are hoping that the return of Derrick Rose takes place this season. On Sunday prior to the Bulls match up against the Thunder, DRose gave them hope.
Derrick Rose was on the court dunking. This is exciting because he recently stated that if he could dunk off stride, he’d be on the court.

Derrick Rose was shown dunking in stride during ESPN's broadcast of the Oklahoma City Thunder's blowout win over the Bulls on Sunday.
OKLAHOMA CITY I'm absolutely going to give the Thunder the benefit of the doubt here. They played good defense Sunday night.
But man, Chicago sure is bad.
While the Bulls brought the LOL on the offensive end, the Thunder got a healthy amount of just what they needed.
Hard to tell if it was good Oklahoma City defense or just hide-your-eyes Chicago shooting, but the result...
The Chicago Bulls have dropped 7 of their 11 games in February and are currently mired in by far, their worst slump of the season. Their defense and rebounding are still at elite levels, but they simply cannot score the basketball, as they have had games this month where they have only scored 72, 69 and 67 points and have only gone over 100 twice. Their offense was supposed...
While Bulls fans are getting excited seeing Derrick Rose dunking again, LeBron James is throwing himself alleys between the legs and off the backboard before catching it with one hand.
