Found November 18, 2012 on Celtics Town:
If you forgot about this play from last night, you would be forgiven. After all, it happened right after this: That oop by Rondo was such an impressive play that it got it’s own bullet point in our recap, and it was the lede in Jay’s excellent story over at MassLive. So the defensive stand immediately following might not have even registered as a blip on most people’s radars. That would be understandable. But the following defensive stand was noteworthy. Here’s the full video:At first glance, it just looks like DeMar DeRozan took a tough shot and missed it. But looking a little closer, we see that this is actually an example of two new Celtic players helping on defense, something that has been sorely looking in the first part of this season. It starts when Jonas Valanciunas screens Rondo off of DeRozan and rolls to the hoop, dragging Rondo with him like a riptide carrying away a small child. Sullinger hedged on the screen nicely, then sees Rondo getting stuck. This kind of awareness h...

Raptors take Jonas Valanciunas bobble head night too far

It's a tradition in just about every NBA arena every season. They can hopefully sell a few more tickets and get fans into the spirit of the team by giving out bobble heads of a player they haven't given out bobble heads of before. This season for the Toronto Raptors, the victim was Raptors center and Lithuania's own Jonas Valanciunas, one of the stars of the hit documentary...

Comments from the Other Side - Raptors 11/18

I don't think I've ever seen fans complain so much about the officiating BEFORE the game even began. They were so certain that the Celtics would get all the calls. Then, it was pretty funny because they clearly got a lot of calls go their way.  I have highlighted my favorite comments.  What are yours? This is a winnable game with the Celtics not having good chemistry...

Toronto Raptors haze rookies with hilarious back packs (Picture)

Clearly, one of the negatives about being NBA rookie is the hazing that you have to go through during the first season.First-year) members of the Toronto Raptors (which included Jonas Valanciunas and rookies Terrence Ross and Quincy Acy) had to carry around some little kid backpacks and below is the picture proof of what they have to carry:To note, Jonas carried around a Bart Simpson...

Jason Terry Discovers New, Different Possibilities as Shooter Alongside Rajon Rondo

BOSTON — Jason Terry is not the same old Jet this season. No matter what his shooting percentage may be, the transition in Boston after eight seasons in Dallas has not been seamless. There have been single-digit scoring games, like when he failed to make a basket in a win over Utah. There have been games in which he has been underused, such as the win in Washington when he clocked...

AUBURN HILLS- Tonight, the Celtics will cap off the weekend against the Detroit Pistons. Here are five things that the Celtics must do to win tonight: 5. Green Envy: What Raptors fans said - 11/17

Another Celtics win, another Green Envy. This one turned out to be pretty easy. It seemed like the Raptors were trying to get blown out in the first half but the Celtics would have none of it. Things were different from the third quarter onward. One thing to take from Raptors fans, they hate Andrea Bargnani. They really hate him. Some were debating whether or not he's legally...
