Found September 07, 2012 on PRO Rumors:
The Los Angeles Dodgers and GM Ned Colletti are in the midst of extension talks for the GM, Bill Shaikin of the LA Times reports. Though Dodgers President Stan Kasten wouldn't comment on the potential deal, he did say, “People should regard our management as stable and permanent.” Colletti's deal is set to expire at the end of the season. Colletti was hired as the Dodgers' GM after the 2005 season has gone 584-525 overall with three playoff appearances (two NL West titles and a wild card). Colletti is best known for the great signings of Jason Schmidt, Juan Pierre, Andrew Jones that didn't work out along with working out trades for Andre Ethier, Hanley Ramirez and the newly acquired Adrian Gonzalez. Chad Billingsley out for season, Dodgers recall Steven Rodriguez

Chad Billingsley's season was cut short on Wednesday as the Dodgers placed the right-hander on the 60-day disabled list. He was placed on the 15-day DL on Aug. 25 after suffering a right elbow injury. Billingsley, who had been amazing since the All-Star break, had two platelet-rich plasma injections to try to save his season. It didn't work. Now, he and the Dodgers...

The Dodgers have announced that their lights out closer Kenley Jansen may return this season. He received a second platelet rich plasma injection on Wednesday...

Los Angeles Dodgers expensive summer turns into freefall

First they were overachievers.  Then, they did exactly as expected.  Now, they are underachievers.  And so sums up the Los Angeles Dodgers 2012 season up to this point. Luis Cruz is currently hitting .306 for the Dodgers, the sixth organization he has been with 2001. When the Dodgers entered Father’s Day weekend with the most wins in baseball, the stories were all about the...

Dodgers Recall Alex Castellanos

As the Dodgers prepare for what is their biggest series of the season, the Dodgers called up Alex Castellanos Friday afternoon. Castellanos is a twenty-six-year-old infielder/outfielder on the brink of breaking into the bigs. Castellanos is making his third appearance in the bigs this season, hoping to finally prove he can be successful at this level. Castellanos is batting .136...

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Dodgers recalled Alex Castellanos from triple-A Albuquerque for the opening game of their make-or-break three-game series against the San Francisco Giants. Important Stretch For The Dodgers

The next ten days for the Los Angeles Dodgers could make or break their season.  Following the blockbuster trade that they made acquiring Josh Beckett, Nick Punto, Carl Crawford (out for year), and Adrian Gonzalez from the Boston Red Sox, the Dodgers have not played to the level that people were expecting. A lineup consisting of five all-stars which include Matt Kemp, Hanley Ramirez...

ESPN picks up Dodgers game on September 23rd for Sunday Night Baseball

The anticipation surrounding the Los Angeles Dodgers' only trip to Cincinnati this season is beginning to build. The Dodgers won't be rolling into Great American Ball Park until two weeks from now (Sept 21-23), but there's already been a couple of scheduling changes in preparation for the potential of a pivotal series. ESPN and the Reds announced on Friday...

Victorino Owns his ADHD

Old buddy, Shane Victorino, made this public service announcement/ad spot when he was still with the Phillies. I had a hard time finding the video that allowed embedding, but here it is. BTW- pretty sure Corey and I have ADHD...the test said so!

Kemp's HR robbed, Dodgers edged by Padres

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Center fielder Cameron Maybin robbed Matt Kemp of a go-ahead homer in the seventh inning after Carlos Quentin put San Diego ahead with a sacrifice fly, and the Padres beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-3 Wednesday night to take two of three games in the series. The loss kept the Dodgers 4 games behind the first-place Giants in the NL West, with a pivotal three-game...

More Ned Colletti?

Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times (which I swear exists in this, the second-largest city in the United States, despite apparently having none of the larger cultural effect that the New York Times, or even the Wall Street Journal, has) apparently reported that the Dodgers are in extension talks with Ned Colletti. I don't really know the details, because I didn't actually...

The Upcoming Dodgers Series

Tonight, the Giants begin a three-game series against the Dodgers. San Francisco currently has a four and a half game lead in the NL West, so at worst, they’ll exit this series with a one and a half game lead. These next three games are obviously crucial: after this, the Giants’ only remaining series against the Dodgers is a three-game set in Los Angeles that will take place...
