Bubba Cunningham capped his second month as North Carolina's athletic director by announcing the hiring of head football coach Larry Fedora, 49. As one might expect, he called Fedora a good fit for the Tar Heels. Brimming with enthusiasm, Fedora racked up points with fans by vowing to compete for championships and by saying he expected the UNC coaching job to crown his career.
