Perhaps former Philadelphia 76ers guard Allen Iverson should reconsider his decision to turn down an offer from the Texas Legends of the NBA's Development League. On Wednesday, the 37-year-old officially lost his home in Atlanta to foreclosure, according to TMZ. Iverson defaulted on the $1.2 million mortgage owed on the $4.5 million home, so Iverson's bank purchased the pad on Tuesday for $2.5 million. Amazingly, this isn't the first time Iverson has allowed one of his homes to slip into foreclosure. In 2011, his Colorado mansion that he owned while playing for the Denver Nuggets went into foreclosure after he failed to pay $2.5 million. Before then, his mansion in Pennsylvania when he played for the 76ers sat on the market for three years at $6.3 million. It eventually sold for $2.6 million in 2010, according to Yahoo! Sports. Iverson has earned over $150 million in salary over the course of his 14-year professional career. His troubles off the court aren't just relegated to financial matters, though. An Atlanta judge recently called Iverson "the worst dad in the universe" while signing off on his divorce papers. As part of the deal, Iverson is forbidden to drink alcohol for the next 18 months and from drinking alcohol within 24 hours of seeing his children until they turn 18 years old.Iverson has expressed an interest to play organized basketball again since retiring in 2010. However, he only seems willing to accept an offer from an NBA team.Iverson is an 11-time NBA All-Star, 4-time scoring champion, former NBA Rookie of the Year (1997), and former NBA Most Valuable Player (2001). He is considered one of the most prolific scoring guards in NBA history.
