MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Marc Gasol tipped in Zach Randolph's miss with less than a second left in overtime to give the Memphis Grizzlies a 90-89 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night.
In a game that had all the intensity of a playoff matchup, Jerryd Bayless connected from the top of the key for Memphis with 3.7 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime. Bayless had 10 points in the fourth quarter.
After Gasol's tip over Kevin Durant put the Grizzlies ahead, Russell Westbrook's desperation shot from past halfcourt was off the mark and Memphis walked away with its 16th victory in 19 games.
Mike Conley led the Grizzlies with 24 points and Bayless had 20. Zach Randolph added 15 points and 18 rebounds, while Gasol had 14 points and 15 rebounds.

Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol accidentally kneed Oklahoma City Thunder forward Nick Collison in the groin during Wednesday night's NBA game at the FedEx Forum.
Gasol had his knee out in front of him as he was attempting a jump shot near the basket, and Collison jumped in the air to block the shot. Collison was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

What a night in the NBA. There was the wild string of events in Cleveland, the tip-in game winner by Anthony Davis, and now another game-winner in the same fashion by Marc Gasol. Trailing by 1 point, Gasol tapped in a Zach Randolph miss with 0.8 seconds to go in OT (which was forced by a Jerryd Bayless three-pointer), to give the Grizzlies the win over the Thunder in OT:

When the Memphis Grizzlies dealt away their leading scorer, they were criticized for “giving up” on a season where they had a real chance. They responded by going 17-6 without Rudy Gay, and they have become even more of a contender in the last few weeks. Their recent success gets overshadowed by the current win streaks going on in the NBA. The Miami Heat, and to a lesser extent...
While the Memphis Grizzlies couldn't get on track offensively, their outstanding defense proved up to the challenge against one of the NBA's highest-scoring teams.
The Grizzlies aren't likely to face as difficult of a task on Friday night when they visit the New Orleans Hornets, one of the lowest-scoring teams in the Western Conference.
Memphis (46-21), however, will...
Marc Gasol went up for a layup during the Grizzlies 90-89 overtime win over the Thunder and his knee found its way into Nick Collison’s groin. It was definitely unintentional but it doesn’t change the fact that it will make you cringe when you see it.
