Wins in Phoenix have been hard to come by for the Memphis Grizzlies, and they could find themselves in an even bigger hole if Zach Randolph can't play. The Grizzlies are hoping to have Randolph available as they try to avoid a 12th loss in 14 road meetings with the scuffling Suns on Sunday night. Averaging 16.7 points and 12.3 rebounds to rank second in the league, Randolph was scratched prior to Friday's 86-84 loss to Portland due to flu-like symptoms. Marreese Speights - starting in place of Randolph - posted season highs of 22 points and 13 boards for Memphis (20-10), which suffered its fourth defeat in six games despite outscoring the Trail Blazers 46-28 in the paint. Rudy Gay added 19 points and nine rebounds while Marc Gasol scored 12 to go along with a franchise best-tying eight blocks. "We went to Marc and we went to Rudy down in the post, but obviously Z-Bo is the guy that we rely on in the post down the stretch," said coach Lionel Hollins, whose team ...

Grisly performance sinks Suns

PHOENIX -- Alvin Gentry's team-survival recipe has three key ingredients. Delivered in Gentry's descending line of progression -- if not order of importance -- these are items are (1) avoidance of fragmentation, (2) continued hard work and (3) belief in yourself. Stir those together and you have... well, we're not sure exactly what the Phoenix Suns are capable of cooking...

Tyreke Evans To Return Monday Vs. Grizzlies

It’s been more than three weeks since Tyreke Evans (left knee) played. Evans is planning to play tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies, as long as his sore left knee cooperates. He has watched how the Kings have performed during his absence and likes what he sees. “They’re playing good,” Evans said. “I just have to go in and try and continue the effort.”

Bench marks low in Suns' loss to Jazz

PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns spent Friday night reeling from an apparent allergy to their own prosperity. Well, this prosperity is painfully relative to the limits mustered by a team that's now 12-22. Anyway, this brush with reasonably positive karma began during Wednesday's losing-streak-busting victory over the Philadelphia 76ers and continued through a rousing first quarter...

Throw On Your P.J.s And Tucker Yourself In

I suppose there comes a time when a man has to lead off a fantasy recap with P.J. Tucker. Who? He nearly led his team in minutes and did produce a team high 17 points. Yes, but who? He added 5 rebounds and 3 sipes. Yes, but who? Two of his 17 points came from three point shots. WHO?? I don’t know who! Doctor Who, haha! Oh, shut up. Anyway, this is Tucker’s 4th game with at...
