Matt Maiocco is reporting that center Eric Heitmann is most likely going to miss his second season in a row after undergoing neck surgery.
Surgery was performed by Dr. Robert Watkins, an orthopedic spine surgeon in Marina del Rey, approximately four weeks ago, said Kenny Zuckerman, Heitmann’s agent.
According to Zuckerman, this type of surgery generally takes approximately six months from which to recover. Considering that Heitmann most likely to miss this season. Heitmann’s contract with the 49ers expires after the upcoming season.
