Coach Gary Kubiak continued his defense of Matt Schaub the day after the Texans were eliminated in the divisional round of the playoffs for the second consecutive year.
In Sundays 41-28 loss at New England, Schaub was 34-of-51 for 343 yards and two touchdowns. He threw one interception and was sacked once when the ball slipped out of his hand.
