1. Junior R.J. Marhurin scored in double figure points for the fourth straight game, but more importantly he established a career high with four offensive rebounds. On those four possessions which he extended, the Sycamores went on to score 5 points. In close games, it's the little things.
2. The Sycamores won despite only making 17 field goals. The last time they won a game while making so few baskets was a 50-35 win over Louisiana Monroe last December.
3. Indiana State is a slightly above average free throw shooting team. They make 70.3% vs the NCAA average of 68.9%. But against the Canes they made 17-18 (94.4%). The last time they shot that well from the line was when they made 21-22 in a win over Missouri State in February, 2009. Miami, meanwhile, made just 11-21 (52.4%). In Miami's three losses, they've made 51.8% of their free throws. In their eight wins they've made 72.7%.
