Who knew things would be like this for Missouri? It's their first year in the SEC, and they've been treated rather rudely. Not surprisingly, even folks are saying things about head coach Gary Pinkel.First, the bad.The Tigers are 3-4 overall and 0-4 in the SEC. The funny, or sad, thing is, Tennessee and Kentucky are in the same division, and also 0-for the SEC. So, it's not like they're in this boat alone. But for Missouri, they aren't used to this. They're used to being in the top 25 on a pretty regular basis."Hey, can we get Kansas back on the schedule?"It's not like Missouri has been terrible, by any stretch of the imagination. They've beaten Arizona State, who are 5-3. The one loss that probably looks the worst is the one to Vanderbilt by four at home. But other than that, they've lost to Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama. Not exactly an easy schedule. Now the good.Things will get better. The Tigers host Kentucky, travel to Florida, and then to Tennessee in the next few weeks. Even then, They're going to have to pull a major upset, at Florida or Texas A&M, along the way and still win games they should to become bowl eligible for the 8th straight year.No one said the SEC was easy, but I bet they have a much higher regard for the conference now, than when Missouri was part of the Big 12. Let's give Pinkel some time before we start thinking about getting rid of him. He has a track record of success, and they've had a tough schedule. Let's pump the brakes on this, OK?
