Rocky Marciano retires with 49-0 recordPaper may beat rock in playground contests of rock-paper-scissors, but no one could beat "The Rock" in the boxing ring. Perhaps the biggest mystery pick in 2011 fantasy football is Denver WR Brandon Lloyd. After spending time on four different teams, Lloyd finally put it all together in his eighth season.
In 2010, Lloyd shed the bust label and looked like the receiver the 49ers envisioned drafting coming out of Illinois back in 2003.
Now comes the time to decide: does he rank near the top again...
Denver Broncos coach John Fox has seen enough to name Kyle Orton his starting quarterback. What he hasn't determined is who's No. 2.
Fox said Tim Tebow and Brady Quinn have two more preseason games to win the job as Orton's primary backup.
Because the league's new rules don't mandate teams designate their quarterback rotation on game day any more, the winner...

Safety Rahim Moore's vicious hit on Buffalo wide receiver Donald Jones drew outrage and shoves from the Bills and kudos and pats on the helmet from his Denver Broncos teammates.
Moore's hit resulted in a 15-yard penalty Saturday night and could produce a fine if the NFL deems the hit crossed the line, although the rookie from UCLA didn't launch himself at his opponent...
The Denver Broncos made it official Monday by naming Kyle Orton as the team's starting quarterback.
First-year coach John Fox said Orton will lead the Broncos into their season opener against the Oakland Raiders on Sept. 12.
The announcement comes less than a month after Denver reportedly was close to a deal to send Orton to the Miami Dolphins, opening the door for 2010 first...
The Broncos had their first officially day off since training camp ended on Sunday.
For most players, that was time spent with their families and resting at home after a grueling 23-day long camp.
Rookie right tackle Orlando Franklin, though, had serious business to take care off. Franklin, who is a Canadian citizen, had to fly to Calgary on Sunday, fill out paperwork and re-enter...
The Broncos announced Monday that third-year tight end Richard Quinn has been waived with a knee injury.
It Quinn clears waivers, he will be placed on the Broncos’ injured reserve list, ending his season.
Quinn hurt his knee in a practice during the first two weeks of training camp and was unable to return.
Quinn was one of the Broncos’ three second-round picks in the 2009 draft...
Through two games that haven't counted, the Broncos appear improved in almost every facet.
