Baseball is back and with it...dawns a new era of, well, New Era cap commercials.Last year's batch showcased the rivalry between Boston Red Sox fan John Krasinski and New York Yankees fan Alec Baldwin. This year...the cap company is taking their commercials to the Windy City and feature Nick Offerman and Craig Robinson.Question...what is with only casting NBC sitcom stars in these things? Can a guy get the comedic stylings of Max Greenfield?Or, if they plan on sticking with NBC's Thursday night lineup...I'll gladly watch Ben Schwartz.

Ron Swanson and Darryl from ‘The Office’ debate Cubs-Sox rivalry in MLB ad (video)
Just like last season, when two characters from NBC comedies took separate sides in a heated MLB rivalry, New Era has once again chosen to go the same route in order to promote the upcoming MLB season. Last year, it was Alec Baldwin from 30 Rock and John Krasinski from The Office who put their [...]
New York’s pizza is better than Chicago’s but this is funny
Last season, New Era ran a series of ads involving Alec Baldwin and John Krasinski fighting back and forth over the Yankees and Red Sox. This season it looks like it’ll be Nick Offerman and Craig Robinson going back and forth about the Cubs and White Sox. It’s not Yankee related anymore, but I have a feeling that I’m going to run a few of these anyway because it is baseball...

Park & Rec's Ron Swanson and The Office's Darryl star in New Era ads
New Era seems to really love actors from NBC sitcoms. Last year the hat company featured Red Sox fan John Krasinski (Jim Halpert from "The Office") and Yankee fan Alec Baldwin (Jack Donaghy from "30 Rock") in a series of hilarious ads that highlighted the rivalry between the two A.L. East foes.
This year the company has chosen to feature Cubs fan...

Ron Swanson, Darryl Philbin debate Cubs-Sox
Ron Swanson and Darryl Philbin may not hail from Chicago, but the actors that play them do. Parks and Recreation's Nick Offerman and The Office's Craig Robinson both grew up near the Windy City, but take opposite sides on the Cubs-White Sox rivalry. In a new commercial from New Era -- which played on the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry last year with John Krasinksi and Alec Baldwin...
Give Me All The Years Without A Championship You Have
You may have thought you heard me say I wanted a lot of years without a championship, but what I said was: Give me all the years without a championship you have.
New Era may have just made the biggest popular culture coolness upgrade ever by following up last season’s “The Rivalry” Red Sox and Yankees campaign featuring Alec Baldwin and John “still Jim after all these years”...
